BROKERAGE FEATURE | 2006 TARTAN 4100

Our 2006 Tartan 4100 is a single-owner vessel.  Yacht Sales West imported and commissioned her in Vancouver for her owners.  Always a West Coast yacht and ideally equipped for PNW cruising.  “Sanguine” is currently on display in Sidney at the Port Sidney Marina.  She was proudly used and enjoyed by her current owners until a lifestyle change forced this sale.  This low-hour, professionally-maintained vessel shows in excellent condition.  All records available.  This is a Canadian vessel.

Subject: Dufour 45E arrives to Vancouver
(Posted on Mar 15, 2013 at 10:37AM by debbie baronit)
Almost here! Our Dufour 45 E will be arriving to our yard on Granville Island next week. The freighter carrying this vessel left the port of Vlissingen in the Netherlands on January 31st: we've been eagerly tracking the freighter's path since departure. The new owner of this vessel happened to be in Panama during the freighter's transit through the canal. While not able to see his boat (as it was stored below deck), he did see the freighter. Pretty cool experience!

The freighter finally arrived to BC this week and we're in the process of having it transloaded onto our local trucking company's truck for delivery to Granville Island.

Here's a picture taken this morning of the boat being lifted out of the hold of the freighter.

Subject: Can you go around the world in this?
(Posted on Mar 13, 2013 at 03:51PM by debbie baronit)
Talk about a visual time capsule!

We recently had the absolute pleasure in finding the video "Singlehanders" featured on the National Film Board site. This feature length video was produced from footage of the 1980 Ostar race (UK to USA).

The race follows Bob Lush and Mike Birch: two Canadian sailors, from start to finish. By the time you reach the end of the video, you are biting your nails and cheering at the same time. We had fun reflecting on the determination of the 1980's sailors, boat designs and technology. The privateer was alive and thriving in these years.

The next time someone asks us "Can you sail this boat around the world?" We'll say, "If a Shark 25 can sail across the Atlantic Ocean, then yes, we would say so!"

Here's a link to the video.

Subject: Dufour 335 Grand Large
(Posted on Feb 12, 2013 at 11:42AM by debbie baronit)
Sweden is well known for Abba, Ikea and Volvo. Now, we can add purveyors of recognizing fine sailing yachts too! Sweden has just announced that the Dufour 335 GL has been awarded "Yacht of the Year" for 2013. Comments from the judging panel ranged from "Most modern recipe" to "Spacious, good looking, fresh inside and very practical outside with twin wheels and foldable transom" to "Smart translation of a family boat".

The very first Dufour 335 has arrived to North America and she's at our floating showroom on Granville Island. Upon first sight, we were immediately fascinated. We're just sure that you will be too!
